Benzema leaves the Valencia match, leaving question marks
Karim Benzema, the Real Madrid striker, raised the concerns of his team’s fans during the match against Valencia, on Thursday evening, which was postponed from the round of 17 of the Spanish League, which will be held at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
And that's when the French star asked to leave the field in the 61st minute, to be replaced by Brazilian striker Rodrigo.
Benzema did not sit on the bench, but went straight to the dressing room, amid questions from the fans on the field.
This raises doubts about his readiness to face Mallorca, next Sunday, in the Spanish League competitions, and to participate in the Club World Cup in Morocco after that.
Benzema left the stadium, while the result indicated that Real Madrid advanced (2-0), with two goals scored by Marco Asensio and Vinicius Junior in the second half of the match.
