Joelle Joanie "JoJo" Siwa (born May 19, 2003) is an American dancer, singer, actress and YouTube personality. She is known for playing for two seasons on Dance Moms with her mother, Jessalynn Siwa, and for her singles "Boomerang" and "Kid in a Candy Store". Siwa posts daily videos of his daily life on his YouTube channels, "JoJo Siwa TV" and "It's JoJo Siwa".  His fans are called Siwanatorz.

Youth and career


Joelle Joanie Siwa was born in Omaha, Nebraska, May 19, 2003, to Jessalynn Siwa (née Lombardi), professional dance teacher from Iowa, and to Dr Tom Siwa, chiropractor from Nebraska.  She has a brother or sister, an older brother by the name of Jayden Siwa who is also a vlogger. 


Siwa was a finalist in the top 5 of the second season of Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition series and the youngest candidate in season 2. [8] She appeared on the show with her mother and was eliminated in week 9 .
Siwa started auditioning for Abby Lee Miller's ALDC dance competition team in 2014 and was selected for the team in early 2015. [10] At the same time, she started appearing in the show. reality show. for life Dance Moms, who follows the ALDC team.

In May 2016, Siwa released "Boomerang" for digital download and a previous single, "I Can Make U Dance". "Boomerang" tackles the subject of online bullying.  His video has been viewed more than 450 million times and has received more than 2.5 million likes. In 2018, Siwa was named Small Group Artist of the Year by Vivid Seats. 


In 2018, Siwa announced that it would conduct its first major concert tour in 2019, entitled D.R.E.A.M. Round. There are plans to visit a mix of theaters, outdoor amphitheatres and stadiums, as well as indoor arenas in a total of 52 cities across the United States and Canada. In addition, other performances will take place in the United Kingdom and Australia. The tour is slated to begin in Phoenix, Arizona on May 17. The first leg of the tour is scheduled to end on June 26 in Austin, Texas, before resuming for Stage 2 on July 10 in Orlando, Florida. The final date for the return match is scheduled for August 20 in Vancouver, Canada.


Other businesses

Known to the public for having worn large colored bows in her hair, Siwa published a line of bows in 2016: JoJo's Bows, for sale at Claire's, a fashion accessories company for girls aged 6 to 12. His bows found great popularity among elementary students in the UK and were eventually banned because teachers discovered that students who could not afford the bows, which cost between 8 and 12 pounds each, were bullied . . by their peers. The other reasons cited by these schools to justify these bans were that they were a distraction, reduced concentration of students and a violation of school dress code policies. [16] Due to the price and popularity of the bows, some stores have started selling similar homemade bows. [17] In 2017, Siwa, whose bows are heavily featured in her clips and general wardrobe, declared that they were a "symbol of power, trust, belief".


Siwa then partnered with the American department store J. C. Penney to release a line of accessories, a bedroom decoration and a doll in his image, and published several books for young children. 


In June 2019, the FDA issued a warning regarding the dangerous levels of asbestos in a JoJo Siwa brand cosmetic kit, prompting Claire's to recall the product.


JoJo signed with Nickelodeon in 2017. She was in the movie Blurt! with Jace Norman, Lip Sync Battle Shorties with Nick Cannon, and much more.
