Be careful if you have this application on your Android smartphone: hurry to delete it, "she can secretly buy content"

The application downloaded by millions of Android users would have secretly made requests for purchases of "premium" content without the permission or knowledge of users.

If, like millions of Android users, you have downloaded the ai.type app (an alternative keyboard for your smartphone), hurry up and remove it. Indeed, several users had the unpleasant surprise to discover that the app secretly asked to buy "premium" content without the permission or knowledge of users, reports the Mirror.

Ai.type was available for download on Google Play until June 2019, when the application was removed. It has been downloaded by more than 40 million users around the world. A report released by Upstream Systems indicates that the app is the source of millions of suspicious mobile transaction requests, many of which have been identified and blocked by the company's Secure-D anti-fraud system. The transactions came from more than 110,000 devices.

A new security problem for Google after tech company Sophos warned Android smartphone users in mid-October against 15 apps! According to experts, they contain malware. It is therefore advisable to delete them. If they are no longer available on the Google Play Store, these applications are still installed on no less than 1.3 million devices, reports The Mirror.
